The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated its preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP All India President JP Nadda have officially kicked off the groundwork for the party in the state.

As part of the strategic planning, Shah established a 'management team' focused on garnering votes. The team, comprising 15 members, was unveiled on Tuesday during a meeting held in Bidhannagar. Surprisingly, the list excluded members of the core committee of the state BJP, along with four Union ministers who failed to secure a spot in the election core team.

The selection committee consists of four central observers—Sunil Bansal, Amit Malviya, Asha Lakra, and Mangal Pandey—alongside 11 state leaders. Notably, the list of general secretaries includes prominent figures such as Jagannath Sarkar, Agnimitra Paul, Locket Chattopadhyay, Deepak Burman, and Jyotirmoy Mahato. The team also features State President Sukant Majumdar, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, and MPs Dilip Ghosh, Rahul Sinha, Amitabh Chakraborty, and Satish Dhand.

In a subsequent meeting at a Bidhannagar hotel, Shah and Nadda engaged with the excluded members of the core committee, discussing the future course of action and coordination.
